What ReadMyHOA does

ReadMyHOA is an AI-powered tool that reads your uploaded HOA documents (CC&Rs, bylaws, rules & regulations) and answers your questions about them in plain English, with citations to the specific clauses. That's it.

Not legal advice

ReadMyHOA is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not create an attorney-client relationship. The answers you receive are plain-language summaries of what your document says — not legal opinions about what those clauses mean in your specific situation, whether they're enforceable, or what you should do about them. For any legal dispute, enforcement question, or situation where legal rights are at stake, consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.

Accuracy

ReadMyHOA uses AI to interpret your documents. While we strive for accuracy and always cite the source clause, AI-generated answers may occasionally be incomplete, misinterpret complex language, or miss nuance. Always verify important answers by checking the cited clause in your original document. You are responsible for how you use the information provided.

Your documents

You retain all rights to your documents. By uploading a document, you grant ReadMyHOA a temporary, limited license to process it solely for the purpose of answering your questions during your session. Documents are not stored, logged, or retained after your session ends. We do not use your documents to train AI models.

Payments and refunds

Day Pass ($2.99) provides unlimited questions for 24 hours from the time of purchase. Week Pass ($4.99) provides unlimited questions for 7 days from the time of purchase. Both are one-time charges with no auto-renewal.

If ReadMyHOA is unable to find a relevant clause for any of your questions during a paid session, you may request a refund by contacting us. Refunds are issued at our discretion and processed through Stripe.

Free tier

Every user gets 3 free questions per document with no account required. The free tier is provided as-is and may be modified or discontinued at any time.

Service availability

We aim to keep ReadMyHOA available at all times, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. The app depends on third-party services (Anthropic, Stripe, Vercel) and may experience downtime due to factors outside our control. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReadMyHOA Inc. and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Montreal, Quebec.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
