What we collect

ReadMyHOA collects the minimum information needed to provide our service. When you use the app, we process your uploaded document and questions to generate answers. When you make a purchase, Stripe collects your payment information directly — we never see or store your full card number.

Document handling

Your documents are never stored. When you upload a PDF, it is processed in-session only to answer your questions. Once you close the browser tab or start a new session, the document is gone. We do not save, copy, log, or use your documents for any purpose beyond answering your questions in that session — including training AI models.

Payment information

All payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation that a payment was made and which plan was purchased, but we do not store credit card numbers, bank details, or other sensitive financial information on our servers.

Analytics

We may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which features are used. We do not use invasive tracking, sell data to third parties, or build advertising profiles.

Cookies and local storage

ReadMyHOA uses your browser's local storage to remember your payment status (so you don't have to re-enter it on every page load) and the number of free questions you've used per document. No third-party advertising cookies are used.

Third-party services

ReadMyHOA uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Anthropic (Claude API) — to process your questions and generate answers based on your document. Your document content and questions are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic's usage policies apply.
• Stripe — to process payments securely.
• Vercel — to host and serve the application.

Data retention

We do not maintain a database of user accounts or documents. Payment records are maintained by Stripe in accordance with their data retention policies and applicable financial regulations.

Your rights

Since we don't store your documents or maintain user accounts, there is typically no personal data to request deletion of. If you have questions about a Stripe payment, you can contact us and we'll help resolve it.

Children's privacy

ReadMyHOA is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
